Sweety Buffets

Sweety buffets are a growing trend in the UK wedding market. They are very popular additions to a wedding reception and are a great way to combine a decorative feature with a favour for your guests. After all who doesn't like sweets?
The images above are from a Sweety Buffet designed by Postscript Events for Christine and Jame's New years eve wedding. The colour scheme for the wedding was green, white and silver and so the sweety buffet and the bespoke tags from Sweetest pear were all coordinated to this scheme. Coordinating your sweets adds a great touch.

Spotlight on: Justin Alexander

I am in love with Justin Alexander's bridal designs.
This is a designer whose dresses are relatively affordable for the everyday bride and is stocked in several bridal shops across the UK.

Justin Alexander has three ranges and the dresses shown above are examples from those ranges - my personal favourite is the bottom right - style number 8465 and I would love to wear this dress on my wedding day - the prices for this particular design start at £800 and it has a great resale value too - perfect for a vintage bride.

His collections cover every type of dress you could dream of - from princess ballgowns, glamorous satin fishtail dresses, fifties style tea dresses and slinky destination gowns plus everything in between!

I've booked myself an appointment to try on my favourite - who knows, maybe i'll be a Justin Alexander bride?!

Welcome!

Welcome to a Postscript Bride.

As a wedding and events planner based in London, England, I have always found a lack of great inspirational blogs about weddings that are UK based.

Websites such as stylemepretty.com and greenweddingshoes.com are all fantastic sources of inspirational images however it can be frustrating for a bride living and planning a wedding in the UK to use these websites as they don't provide information relevant to where the bride lives.

The 'little black books' of these fantastic sites list suppliers, vendors and venues for the discerning bride to peruse but it can be hard to find a UK equivalent that goes into detail - featuring the perfect suppliers for your event. It can also be hard to even find real weddings online that are based in the UK to help inspire the planning process.

This is where A Postscript Bride steps in. We are designing a blog for UK brides to be - we will be featuring real weddings in the UK that are just as inspiring as the ones featured on US sites and building up a list of featured suppliers and guest bloggers along the way.

A Postscript Bride is here to help and inspire you throughout the process of planning your special day, we hope you enjoy what you see here and spread the word.

Lots of love,
Postscript
